You can now book to join me on a painting day at the National Trust’s Wallington in Northumberland on May 12th. This will be the 3rd time I have run it, both previous days have been great weather wise and have proved a success.

The cost is £45 which includes entrance fee, lunch (orders will be taken on arrival) and me! After an initial talk we will walk to the beautiful walled gardens in the morning where you can choose  from a range of subject matters to suit your ability…flowers in the conservatory, trees, landscape. After lunch back at the rooms we will stay closer to the hall again having the choice of interesting subjects to paint.

I will be on hand to give demonstrations, advice and to discuss colours and techniques. A small amount of painting experience is necessary. Come along and challenge yourself away from the comfort zone of your art classes!

You can book through Wallington’s Office on: 01670 773600

Here’s one of my latest pictures I have done of the bottom of Dean street, going down to the quayside. I love the architecture in Newcastle. You can view it and a new one of Grey street at the Cluny this Sunday (Feb 12th) 12 – 4, details below.

Dean Street - Newcastle upon Tyne

For those of you in the vicinity,  I am doing a craft market/fair this Sunday, February 12th, 12 – 4, in Newcastle at: The Cluny, 36 Lime St, Ouseburn, Newcastle NE1 2PQ.

Although I don’t think it’s a huge venue (my table is 4ft x 2!), I think there seems to be some interesting stands and crafts, and I will have a few new drawings, paintings and cards.

I have been told the food and drink is good too! Come along and have a look.

My exhibition will run through April at Saltwell Towers, Saltwell Park, Gateshead showing some of my larger work, I will post more details and some of my work nearer the time.
